compiler.dev has a remote MCP server, so you can see and act on your CI from Claude: ask what failed overnight, read the tail of a job log, re-run
the failed jobs, check usage and credit. The URL is https://ci.compiler.dev/mcp.
Claude on the web and Claude Desktop.
- Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, name it compiler.dev and paste
https://ci.compiler.dev/mcp. - Click Connect, sign in with GitHub if asked, and approve. Claude gets a short-lived token (one hour, renewed automatically) that only reaches the organizations you belong to.
- On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector once under Organization settings → Connectors; each person then connects with their own sign-in.
Claude Code. Create a token in Connect to Claude and run:
claude mcp add --transport http compiler https://ci.compiler.dev/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <your token>"
What Claude can do.
- Read:
list_orgs,list_runs(filter by org, repo, status, since),get_run(jobs, timings, failure reason),list_failures,get_job_log_tail(last lines, secrets redacted),get_usage_and_balance,get_speed_reportandrecent_events. - Act, owners and maintainers only:
rerun_failed_jobsre-runs a finished run's failed jobs (they use runner minutes as usual) andrequest_turbo_runtries to queue a Turbo run (free runs are no longer offered, so it refuses; a run is $200 and is bought in the dashboard). Neither charges anything or changes billing, pricing, spending caps or routing; no tool can. - Limits: every call is checked against your GitHub-verified organizations, rate limited and written to an audit log. Runs and events cover jobs that ran on compiler.dev runners.
Notifications. A server can't wake Claude up when no session is open. compiler.dev keeps a feed for you (a job failed, a failing job was fixed, credit is low, the spending cap was reached, a Turbo report is ready; kept 30 days). Claude sees it when it next connects or when you ask ("anything new in CI?"), through recent_events or the compiler://events resource. Apps that keep a session open and subscribe to that resource are told immediately. Choose which events go into the feed in Connect to Claude.
Revoke. Disconnect Claude or revoke a token on the same page; it stops working at once. Tokens are stored hashed, so we can't show them again.
